Board of County Commissioner Meetings will no longer be videotaped

Local Demo volunteer Ray Padgett is moving away and will no longer be able to videotape the bi-monthly Board of County Commissioner meetings.  For the past year and a half, Ray or one of his helpers has recorded the entire BCC meeting and prepared it for web posting.  Otherwise the meetings are available only on audio tape.

"It is with regret that I let you know that I can no longer video tape the BCC meetings," he wrote last week. "Thom Brooks and I have greatly enjoyed and learned much about out county since we began this work.  Many people have thanked us for the effort and we appreciate the kind words."

Padgett goes on to say,  "A big thank you goes to Sharon and Brian for their encouragement and help.  I learned a great deal from both of you in this process.  Thank you, Thom Brooks, for always being available to help and thanks to my son, Duncan, for doing the video taping when Thom and I could not be there."

The volunteers missed only one meeting during the entire time, and the web page has been one of the most frequently visited on the site.  This has been a very time-consuming volunteer job and a huge commitment of time.  We owe Thom, Ray, and Duncan a very big vote of thanks! You can thank them at ray88padgett@earthlink.net  or brookstmi@gdsys.net
